Advanced Amateur Division Rules

All work must be done within your designated plot.

• Plot size is 15’ x15’.

• All work will be done using only the sand in your designated plot. Nothing may be added to the sand except water. (No paint, dyes, flour, sugar, cement, clay etc.) Only adhesive provided by event may be used.

• No power tools are allowed in your plot.

• Water pumps or siphons are not allowed to be used to gather water.

• Only registered sculptors or event staff members are allowed in plot. Only other registered competitors or event staff may assist in moving and removing forms from plot during competition.

• All forms and equipment must be removed, holes must be filled, and any trash must be disposed of before judging.

• Any compacted sand must be sculpted by hand before judging. No templates or molds are allowed.

• Decorative materials must be naturally occurring and biodegradable items typically found on the beach.

• No artificial color, paint, flour, sugar cement or adhesives may be used.

• Anyone working before the start time or after the stop time will be disqualified.

• The decisions of the judges are final.
